April 2011 Tasting notes
- 2005 Dupéré Barrera Côtes de Provence Nowat - France, Provence, Côtes de Provence (4/20/2011)
Well made and a interesting concept. Not harsh at all. Very integrated. Enjoyable but not transcendent to drink (88 points)

- 2005 Bodegas Alto Moncayo Campo de Borja Veraton - Spain, Aragón, Campo de Borja (4/15/2011)
How they get this granache so deep and rich... I love it and I don't usually love over the top wines. This was throwing some sediment and perfectly in the pocket. Rich fruit, good acidity, and sexy tannins. Inky and textured. (92 points)

- N.V. Francoise Bedel Champagne Origin' elle - France, Champagne (4/15/2011)
I like the funky earthy combined with juicy watermelony note. A bit light but seems to open through time. (89 points)

- 2008 Cloudline Pinot Noir - USA, Oregon (4/15/2011)
More popular than I would expect. This seems to lacking something from previous bottlings.
Think and a bit harsh. (85 points)

- 2005 Château Grande Cassagne Costières-de-Nîmes Blanc - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Costières-de-Nîmes (4/13/2011)
Yuck. Oxidized but not in a good way. I love the old rio as and chenins but no (80 points)

- 2005 Chateau Montelena Cabernet Sauvignon The Montelena Estate - USA, California, Napa Valley (4/12/2011)
As usual good performance. Hubby loves!!! (90 points)

- 1999 Domaine Marquis d'Angerville Bourgogne - France, Burgundy, Bourgogne (4/10/2011)
In a good place right now, pretty. (90 points)

- 2005 Bodegas Beronia Rioja Reserva - Spain, La Rioja, Rioja (4/5/2011)
Good fruit, lots of classic American oak. More body than the older vintages but missing that leathery strawberry (88 points)

- 2009 Domaine De Fonsainte Corbières Gris de Gris - France, Languedoc Roussillon, Languedoc, Corbières (4/3/2011)
A little tart and lemony. Not what expected from the neon pink color and melony nose. Bright fresh some florals/waxy on palate. More like a white white. Good for price. (86 points)
- 2005 Domaine de Fontsainte Corbières-Boutenac Clos du Centurion - France, Languedoc Roussillon, Languedoc, Corbières-Boutenac (4/3/2011)
Lot of intensity and depth. Dark fruit, with good tannin and texture (91 points)
